Andrew Winn
Andrew Winn was a founding member and creative force behind the jazz-rock group, Agents of Good Roots. Throughout the 1990s, Andrew penned a number of songs that received national airplay with “Smiling Up the Frown” climbing all the way to the number 2 position among AAA singles on the Billboard Charts. Playing with Agents, Andrew performed with many renowned artists such as Dave Matthews, John Scofield, Medeski, Martin and Wood, Bruce Hornsby and Blues Traveler. Recently, Andrew has finished two Master’s Degrees in Music Theory and Composition at the Peabody Conservatory. Currently, he is working on a doctorate in Classical guitar at the Shenandoah Conservatory in Winchester, VA. Andrew teaches music and gives private guitar instruction and is enrolled in the pre-med program at Georgetown.
