Bob Miller

BobBob Miller has been playing and teaching trumpet for just about as long as he can remember. He graduated from Towson State University with a degree in Music Education in 1995 and went on to do Master’s work at Virginia Commonwealth University. He has appeared on over 30 recordings ranging from jazz to folk to latin to rock and roll, including albums with The Squirrel Nut Zippers, David Karsten Daniels, Sarah Lee Guthrie, and Josh Small. He has been honored to share the stage with artists such as Tito Puente, Clark Terry, Dave Holland, John Pizzarelli, Don Byron, Uri Caine, Poncho Sanchez, Eddie and Gerald Levert, and Barry Harris. His open-minded approach to music has made him a highly sought after studio musician and freelance artist. Current projects include old-school salsa outfit Bio Ritmo, Avant-jazz group Fight the Big Bull, and Electro-dance project Amazing Ghost, as well as The Winn Brothers Band.


The Winn Brothers Band is a seven piece group out of Washington, D.C. playing a wide variety of music covering Jazz standards, Motown, Funk, Classic Rock and 80s hits. This band of talented musicians has performed at many private parties, weddings and corporate functions throughout the mid-Atlantic region.
